A TEORIA DAS IMPLICATURAS E A COMPREENSÃO DOS IMPLÍCITOS EM LINGUAGEM NATURAL

This essay presents the complex notion of sentence and utterance interpretations in natural language, which is central in contemporary semantics and pragmatics theories. It is a theoretical study that presents the Paul Grice’s Theory of Implicatures (1975-1991), illustrated by the analysis of a Luís Fernando Veríssimo’s dialog and by six slogans, which aims to bring to light the approach of implicit meaning in the Linguistics-Communication and in the Semantics-Pragmatics interfaces.
