Agricultural Development

Folks: The book review below raises issues concerning agricultural development in Africa and elsewhere that are, for the most part, as relevant today as when this review was originally published. One caveat, however: a problem that was not then prominent in the consciousness of most (scientists as well as the citizenry) must now take center stage in any discussion about any kind of economic development, agricultural or otherwise; namely, climate change and its corollary, sustainability.
