Archaeology and the Araguaia Guerrilla or Materiality against non-narrative / Arqueologia e a Guerrilha do Araguaia ou A materialidade contra a não-narrativa

This article uses the example of the search for missing people of the Araguaia Guerrilla to raise questions about the potential of archeology in contexts associated to repression orchestrated by Brazilian military dictatorship. I assume that archeology, claiming itself the study of materiality, diametrically opposed to non-narrative perpetrated by official ostensibly silence about past events. As a political tool, dialogic to the construction of material memories, repression and resistance archaeology is a kind of auto-archeology, plural, possible, credible and liveable.
