ASSIGNMENT 7: UX Process Documentia The gist This final assignment for Innovation and User Centered Design should provide a nice way for us to take a whirlwind trip back through all of the work we just did for the course to find some ‘highlights’ to preserve for our posterity and to help us discuss the story of what we all learned in the course.

In a nutshell … Run back through your assignments and find 3 to 5 specific design artifacts that stood out in some way. Pick from: hand-drawn or digital output; direct scan or photographed; drawn or written. Any piece of your process is fair game to capture and collect into a simple portfolio-like document.

ASSIGNMENT 7: UX Process Documentia Reflect Place each design artifact ( or short series of related artifacts ) on its own portfolio page and include a short paragraph or 2 to quickly summarize: the nature of the artifact; its relative significance &/or value to you for 
 its related assignment; and the kind of insight you garnered through the thinking, production or exploration surrounding the artifact. Repeat this basic pattern for the other 2 to 4 artifacts.




Bonus points Now, by reviewing these selected ‘highlights’ from the work this semester — think about how you might imagine promoting the user-centered design process in your organization using your work and your experience in the course as an example. Were there any surprises along the way that you expect might not have surfaced without delving into this approach to design, research, iteration, and innovation. Are there any key take-aways you learned that might NOT be mentioned in the official course texts or in any of the materials provided through our 10 weeks worth of reading, research and design work? And, are there any major themes that came up for you that proved to be immediately helpful to your current work or life right now? 
 If so, share what you feel comfortable with that feels appropriate and insightful to your classmates ( and, 
 of course, me too! ).
