Abstract

A 62 year old male patient reported to the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology with a complaint of ulcerative growth on left side of lower jaw in posterior region of mouth since 2 months. It developed as a patch like lesion 2 years ago, which later progressed into an ulceroproliferative growth over a period of 2 years. He had increased concern for this over a period of last 2 weeks. It was associated with pain and burning sensation on taking hot and spicy food. It is not associated with any topical medicaments or chemicals applied in recent past. It is not associated with any bleeding or discharge. It is associated with difficulty in mastication and on chewing the food on the affected side. It is not associated with lip/cheek biting. He is not on medication for any systemic illness.
