Its walls are lined with reclaimed wood from rail cars and salvaged local brick to warm up the space. Barstools and cozy furniture nooks provide the perfect place for customers to sit and relax with a standard Starbucks offering, or a giass of wine, beer or smail plate, exclusive to a handful of locations after 4 p.m.

The Shops at Roosevelt Collection 150 W. Roosevelt Rd. Set to open in fall 2013 in Chicago's South Loop, The Shops will house more than 300,000 sq. ft. of retail space to complement the already existing ShowPlace ICCN Theatre, as well as more than 300 apartments. Executed leases include H&M, White House/Black Market, Francesca's Collections and Z Gallerie, among others. CityTarget Chicago 1 S. state St. Located in the historic Sullivan Center in Chicago's Loop Neighborhood, this CityTarget store kicked off the big-box retailer's foray into smaller urban formats. The 124,000-sq.-ft. store spans two floors and offers an edited selection of traditional Target wares, groceries and Chicago-themed merchandise. A Prêt A Manger eatery rounds out the first floor.
Walgreens 1601 N. Milwaukee Ave. Waigreens has raised the bar on the corner drugstore with its second Chicago flagship, nestled in the Bucktown/ Wicker Park neighborhood. Occupying the Noel State Bank building, which dates back to 1919, the renovated space boasts an ornate, coffered plaster ceiling and a large stained-glass skylight. Besides the typical Waigreens offerings, patrons can dine on fresh sushi and juices, primp at the Eyebrow Bar or peruse the Vitamin Vault (formerly a real bank vault!).
