2006 Fused pyrrole derivatives R 0160 Design and Synthesis of 2,3,4,9-Tetrahydro-1H-carbazole and 1,2,3,4-TetrahydroDerivatives as Non-Nucleoside Inhibitors of Hepatitis C 31- 108 -cyclopenta[b]indole Virus NS5B RNA-Dependent RNA Polymerase. — The synthesis of the tetrahydro-1H-carbazole scaffold is exemplified by the synthesis of compound (XI). In an analogous manner the construction of the tetrahydro-cyclopenta[b]indole scaffold (XII) is carried out. The structure—activity requirement for this class of inhibitors seems to track very well with the pyrano[3,4-b]indole series.
