Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. 11st March University. Surakarta. Legged avoider robot has developed increasingly as kind of technology. Legged avoider robot is a mean of robot who is designed to avoid the block in around. The development of this robot technology is also followed by the development of robot sensor technology which becomes sophisticated. Sensor is an important part in this robot. By the sensor, robot are able to sense surrounding area. Legged avoider robot is made with ultrasonic sensor USIRR and Infrared GP2D12 sensor. Legged avoider robot programmed to recognize the existance of an obstruction with the help of ultrasonic sensors and two infrared sensors. This ultrasonic sensor USIRR set on the front, but Infrared GP2D12 sensor is set on the right and left from robot. This sensor is used robot to look for the right street, so that robot can walk on. Legged avoider robot uses ATMega8535 microcontroler as its control system. And that microcontroller can be found in AVR mini system module. Legged avoider robot uses two servo motors as a drive of robot which is used to movement. Program that used as the operating system of legged robot avoider is writen using C programing language with Code Vision Avr Compiler and downloaded to minimum system use program of AvrOsp II.
