Retórica e poder: o paratexto prefacial de autoria feminina no Brasil do século XIX

In this work we analyze the prefacial paratexts produced by authoresses in the nineteen century, considering their importance for the study and rescue of works almost forgotten by the historiographical tradition. As we amplify the concept of transtextuality, developed by Gérard Genette, we make evident the paratextuality as a phenomenon of provoking face a peripheral situation in the speech produced by women writers. The rupture of the rhetoric patterns of the captatio benevolentiae, as well as the attempt of readaptation of the preface to a possible public accustomed to the public rules, turns the paratext an important element to be considered in the whole comprehension of the authorial feminine place.Keywords: Feminine autorship; Paratext; Rethoric; Power
