Breast Cancer. It is the second leading cause of death among women in the West. In the United States, 150 000 new cases and 50 000 deaths are reported annually. Researchers and doctors are still currently finding a cure or a way to prevent it at least. The cause of Cancer is the change in the genes of the tumor suppressors thus the formation of a tumor. One thing holding them back is the change in genes during puberty. Due to puberty, different results are obtained between adults, adolescents and children. Moreover not all people go through the puberty stage at the same age; Some are late-bloomers, some are early-bloomers; Because of this the researchers have no idea where to begin.

So it seems that they started a survey with a variety of respondents; Some women from the East and some from the West. One thing that they found is that women with Breast Cancer in the East tend to have a longer life span compared to those living in the West. The thing that these women (from the East) had in common which the Westerners didn't have is the high consumption of Soy foods. Thus, researchers concluded that Soy foods can decelerate the spread of the tumor. With this the death rate of women in the West can be decreased.

The issue of Breast Cancer greatly affects sustainability since it is a major cause of death. It increases the death rate among women; It can also affect the birth rate of the population due to that women are the ones giving birth to children. However since Soy foods are found to decelerate the growth of the tumor, it is suggested that women should increase their consumption of Soy foods. Taken for example, consuming a carton of Soy milk in a week may be a suggestion. Another way is that the early detection of a tumor can also be considered due to that if the tumor is still small, removing the tumor will only have insignificant effects but, it would also depend on its location. However as the tumor grows bigger the patient can suffer from bigger risks and it may also become life-threatening. Taken for example the tumor is located in the Speech area of the brain, one possible side-effect of removing the tumor will be the lost of the ability to speak, another side-effect is that a part of the patient's body may be paralyzed for an indefinite period of time. Or if the tumor is located in the memory area of the brain, one possible side-effect is memory loss.
