Vivax malaria presenting as urticaria infectiosum

Urticarial rash is a common presentation in paediatrics; majority cases are allergic however infections too are common cause. Malaria is an endemic disease in India; acute febrile illness associated with chills and rigours is the usual clinical picture nevertheless various organ involvement is not uncommon. Purpura fulminans, urticaria and angioedema are some of the atypical dermal manifestations of malaria. Present case exemplifies urticaria and angioedema as presentation of vivax malaria.
