1,000 Days - A “Nonsense Poem” for Baraka Janata. By Georgas Janata. 3rd October 2015.

It’s been 1,000 days. A thousand days of sniffing the susu from your dudu on your mama’s muumuu. A thousand days of wiping the poo-poo off your wazoo in the loo…of babbling like a cockatoo as your bugaboo rides down the avenue. A thousand days of playing peekaboo and buckaroo…humming through your kazoo with “Achush” your cuzzo…and the ballyhoo that comes whenever you go “achoo!” with the flu It’s been 1,000 days. A thousand days of taking the cue from Sue your “boo”, and slurping up the stew meant for two. 1,000 days of trips to the zoo, and calling a gnu a ewe, and a ewe a gnu…of blue days and black nights when you were still new in the hood…and sick as a dog (that is taboo!)…but you went through…and subdued…and grew… It’s been 1,000 days. A thousand days of joys untold. Visions foretold. Tales told. Pain controlled. Protective fold. Blessings galore. It’s been a thousand days. It’s been two shakes of a lamb’s tail.
