A contextualixação do espaço em galeria no discurso do espaço público

The work we are going to present in this dissertation is related to a theme approached throughout the last year of the Architecture course within the project III module. The gallery as a space sparkled a great deal of interest and created the need for research on its origins and functionality; this investigation has become the motivation for this study. We will address not only its foundations and first applications but also conduct an overview of all the works of reference that use this typology, in order to highlight its importance in relation to the public space.Although an unusual and little debated topic, as we were able to realize, this dissertation aims to present the gallery as a reference model in the work of architects, in order to make exalt it and recognize its value in urban areas the citizen occupies and lives in.The awareness of this subject as something that has an impact on urban life and the day-to-day of citizens at the same time that it is an object of unique and constant beauty prompted a desire to expose this typology that transcends its function as a distributive system to the point of being considered a work of art.
