A Ermida de Nossa Senhora do Socorro, Alcácer do Sal: Documentação referente à sua consagração em 1601, assim como outra relacionada com o espaço envolvente, desde a Comporta até ao Moinho da Ordem

Study of the Nossa Senhora do Socorro chapel in Alcácer do Sal. Up until 2015, it was only possible to guess the temple’s construction century from architectural elements that have  remained until the present.The author clarifies less studied historical aspects, based on partially unknown documents. It becomes clear, for instance, that the chapel was consecrated to God in 1601 by orders of the Archbishop of Évora.KEY WORDS: Modern age; Heritage; Document analysis; Toponymy, Alcácer do Sal
