Descrição do Produto

A quinary system of Proto-Austronesian numbers 1-10: a new look The Proto-Austronesian basic numbers are *esa/isa-1, *duSa-2, *telu-3, *Sepat-4, *lima-5, *enem-6, *pitu-7, *walu-8, *Siwa-9 and *sa-puluq-10 (Robert Blust2013). The numbers might be constructed from a group of living fossil words including kali, lu, nem, pat, pu, sa, tu and wa. By applying a primitive counting system, they can be divided into two parts; numbers 1-5 and numbers 6-10. Numbers 1-5 represent a core part or a seed or a family body and numbers 6-10 represent a surrounded part or a meat or a way of living in this case meaning to water, in a compliance with the Mother Nature where a healthy seedling is always accommodated by a perfect meat. The philosophy of counting is as follows; starting point >> having a direction >> getting through >> almost there >> be united. The meaning of each living fossil word is; “kali” means „something used for counting‟ (preserved in Tai), “lu” means „pass through‟ (preserved in Tai), “nem” means „water‟ (preserved in Tai), “pat” means „thin, tight or tiny‟, “pu” means „something arising‟ (preserved in Tai), “sa” means „my body or a body‟ (probably preserved in Tai), “tu” means „a direction‟ and “wa” means „spreading or expanding‟ (preserved in Tai). Reconstruction; Numbers 1-5, a seed story; *esa/isa-1 (starting point) This word is put weight on “sa”. Affix “sa” has been composed in many Indonesian words such as “saya”
