ADMIRÁVEL MUNDO NOVO- HISTORIA, LITERATURA E CONTEMPORANEIDADE

By revisiting the work “Brand new world” by the English writer Aldous Houxley, the present paper presents the possible dialogues between history and literature, as well, analyses the double temporality that the work in question develops. Considering the gender of science fiction as a metaphor for the author’s contemporary time, the text seeks not only discuss the world and its shifts in the beginning of 20th century, but also observe its actualization on present days.
