Arqueologia da Terra da Garoa: leituras arqueológicas da grande São Paulo

Este artigo tem por objetivo tecer algumas considerações sobre a história da Arqueologia na região metropolitana de São Paulo, buscando compreender seus diferentes momentos desde o final do século XIX ao começo do século XXI. Para isso, serão elencados exemplos de temáticas abordadas a partir das leituras arqueológicas que diferentes profissionais impingiram à região, retomando a história da disciplina nesta porção da bacia do Alto Tietê. This article aims to comment on the history of archeology in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, in order to understand its different phases from the late 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century. I will list examples of issues addressed through the archaeological writings of different professionals, summarizing the discipline’s history in this portion of Alto Tietê basin.
