technology of materials, lasers, semiconductors, superconductors V 1500 Catalytic Growth of β-Ga2 O3 Nanowires by Arc Discharge. — 33 - 231 Monoclinic β-Ga2 O3 nanowires have been synthesized by d.c. arc discharge of GaN powders with small amounts of transition metals in a gaseous O2 /Ar mixture. The samples are characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Raman spectroscopy.
