Cultural Micro-Mosaics. A problem for archaeological culture concept

This paper is a preliminary presentation of results from our ethno-archaeological investigations among the Evenkian hunter-gatherers in the northern Baikal area, Siberia. Its focus is on how the social organisation of hunter-gatherers is reflected in their material culture. Our conclusion is that some of the basic assumptions accepted in archaeology may need revision.
