In its efforts to better serve its clienteles, Urdaneta City Schools Division conducted its Brigada Eskwela on May 30 to June 4, 2016 with the theme Tayo Para sa Paaralang Ligtas, Maayos at Handa Mula sa Kindergarten Hanggang sa Senior High School. All 63 schools of the division joined in the said cleaning activity wherein walls were repainted, roofs were fixed, toilets were repaired and school surroundings were cleaned and cleared.

The yearly Brigada Eskwela also known as the National Schools Maintenance encourages stakeholders to join the school administrators and contribute their time, effort and resources in ensuring that all public school facilities are ready for the school opening in June. In Urdaneta City Division, the students and stakeholders of all schools through the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) actively participated in the activity. The barangay officials of the Local Government Units (LGUs), employees of the Urdaneta City Police Station, and alumni associations of the respective schools also contributed to

the school maintenance effort during the week-long activity. On May 30, 2016, Brigada Eskwela caravan headed by Schools Division Superintendent Gloria R. Torres and OIC Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Rosario O. Cabrera joined by all school heads and Schools Division Office personnel routed around the city to launch the first day of the Brigada. Their final stop was in San Jose Leet Integrated School, a Senior High School (SHS) implementer, where the kickoff ceremony was held.
