Descrição do Produto

This dissertation seeks as its main objective to investigate and map the production process associated with information design, in a situation of emergence and dissemination platforms for production of content. We seek to understand how the professional that design subarea have solved the challenges of raising signs and navigation lanes in interfaces which present new elements, resulting from the features incorporated into tablets. From an exploratory analysis, we seek to understand the peculiarities, the recurrences and ruptures brought forth in the form of syntagmas and syntaxes of interaction, constituents of this grammar. As a second objective, the thesis addresses the phenomenon of affordances generating features to understand how innovations are induced by them in the visual grammar of journalistic applications. From this, it is understood that the exchanges between the designer and the reader through the digital interfaces are established, with varying degrees of success, in the form of interaction contracts. To test these findings, a usability test was conducted for products for tablet, among university students with different backgrounds, in Spain and Brazil. We conclude that the information design offers its own visual grammar, with its syntactic elements, but is also vulnerable to occasional failures in establishing interaction agreements. The failure in identification of the designer proposal by the reader is not seen here as a serious mistake, as some usability authorities maintain, but rather as part of the process of experimentation and recognition of a new type interface that has yet to be better established and tested. Finally, usability testing indicates that publications with fewer phrases and syntax of interaction were better assessed by users after their experience, which reinforces the maxim that “less is more”.
