Destabilizing Marcel Duchamp; the dark side.

Preface Minds smarter than mine have done in-depth research and interpretations of Duchamp's work, scholars to whom I could not hold a candle for the vocabulary they deploy or even the intelligence and complex thinking that a simple soul like myself can only look up to. It's also a path where all low hanging fruit have been picked, and most from the higher branches too. Yet I hold a unique advantage in having no loyalty, nor investment, nor bias towards Duchamp as a great artist whose work surely meant something. Dispensing with those expectations brings a new vision, new interpretations under the rubric of common sense. When a mind stops counting how many angels dance on the head of a pin that energy must surely go somewhere, often into renewed observation of life itself.
