DO CONCEITO DE ECO-BAIRRO À INTERVENÇÃO SOCIAL: ANÁLISE DA DIMENSÃO SOCIAL DOS PROCESSOS 1

RESUMO Este artigo científico tem como objectivo reflectir sobre o conceito de desenvolvimento sustentável e suas dimensões, proposto por Nascimento (2012), no qual se contemplam as dimensões: ambiental; económica e social. Analisa-se o conceito supra-citado tendo como referência um projecto de eco-bairro, cujo âmbito deve ter por base uma intervenção social multidisciplinar e, não apenas circunscrita ao domínio das condições materiais. Portanto, perspectiva-se o contributo do Serviço Social, não só em áreas que lhe são caras, tais como-habitação social; pobreza e exclusão social-mas igualmente na vertente mais holística que contempla abordagens eco-sociais (relação sujeito e meio ambiente). Quanto à metodologia, a escolhida foi a qualitativa e, como técnicas de recolha de dados, foram usadas a pesquisa e a análise documental no sentido de melhor conhecer o projecto e identificar constrangimentos. E, da mesma forma, identificar as potencialidades que justificam uma intervenção concertada e integrada, por parte do Serviço Social, no âmbito do desenvolvimento sustentável. ABSTRACT This paper aims to reflect on the concept of sustainable development and its dimensions, proposed by Nascimento (2012), which include: environmental dimensions; social and economic. Analyzes the concept above on with reference to an eco-neighbourhood project, which should be based on a multidisciplinary social intervention, not just limited to the domain of material conditions. Therefore, perspective the contribution of Social Work, not only in areas that are expressive, such as-social housing; poverty and social exclusion but also in more holistic dimension that includes eco-social approaches (subject and environment). As regards the methodology, the qualitative was the chosen and, as data collection techniques, were used research and document analysis in order to better understand the project and identify constraints. And, similarly, to identify the potential for a concerted and integrated intervention by the Social Work in the context of sustainable development.
