ESCOMBROS DA FALSA PAZ – AS MEMORIAS INDIZIVEIS DA NACAO EM TERRA SONÂMBULA THE FALSE PEACE RUBBLES – THE UNSPEAKABLE MEMORIES OF THE NATION IN TERRA SONÂMBULA

This article aims to analyze the processes of construction of Mozambique's post-independence nationality from the analysis of the novel Terra Sonambula, written by Mia Couto, and the eponymous film, directed by the Mozambican Teresa Prata. Addressing the dilemma of contemporary Portuguese-speaking African literature, the objective of this study is to deepen further questions such as: what nation is spoken about? How to restore traditional memories fractured by war, crossed out in postcolonial writing?
