ABOUT THE SEMINAR The seminar examined the history of the Greek Orthodox Christian communities (Karamanlides) of late Ottoman Cappadocia. After first researching refugee oral history testimonies at the Center for Asia Minor Studies, the seminar visited the villages of Kayseri, Turkey examining geography, topography, and Ottoman era structures, including homes, schools, and churches.
