KENYA: A MALL FOR POLITICAL ENTERPRISE.
Looking at the kind of society we live in right now as Kenyans, it's believed that money does everything. Money can now buy even the most precious, most valued and priceless things that once could not be bought. With the wallets open and huge cheques being signed each day, money is made available to the careless vulnerable who stare at the millions and billions with hearts pounding and saliva streaming down their mouths waiting for offers to be made before they finally say yes though seep down in their hearts they have already said yes to the money even before listening to the conditions under which the money is given.
People sell their dignity and reputations that they have struggled to build for many years just for some few millions which won't last a life time. In some instances you find a person who calls himself a leader standing for an ideology, fights for it with his might, offers everything of his to make sure that that the idea is implemented, later this same person fights against the idea which he introduced to the people, he crosses to the other side and defends what he once fought. This is a clear example of a leadership that has got no clear direction, a leadership that moves with the wave, it is hypocritical and exemplifies empty headedness of our leaders.
Some of the leaders have proven to be having useless mouths and I doubt whether they really went to school and if they went then they fell amongst the rowdy students who hated their teachers and saw no benefit of being in school. That is why every time when teachers go on strike, they don't see it as something major, in fact they use force on the teachers and deny them their rights for a good pay.
I wonder how an adult, a person who has a family and his children look up to him for mentorship can be bought and be influenced to drop what he holds to be true then cross over to the other side and fight for what he once held to be false. Personally am priceless, I attach no price to myself, can't be bought for the benefit of a system whose policies and actions I don't agree with. Some people turn out to be political brokers; they just don't know how they are hurting the country, ripping off its skin while it's still alive. It's like a man shaving his beards using the candle flame.
The political leaders are always out to figure out how they can make profit out of the toils from the citizens. They know that the citizen is vulnerable therefore they deny him some of his freedom and rights. What the citizen should be consuming a day is spread throughout the month so that they toil till their back aches trying to get the whole piece and when he finally gets it, he is too tired to question why a one day thing is got after 30 days of suffering, he knows he has to prepare himself for the next month's toil aware of the dangers of not being prepared. Political leaders do business by using the citizen; they postpone the success of the citizen. Those who are wise and lucky enough to find their way out escape to other countries and become citizens of those countries where they prosper and sympathize with those remaining behind.
