Metafísica, Discurso e Modo de Vida Filosófico

RESUMO: A Metafísica é por vezes representada como uma disciplina exclusivamente teórica, um discurso abstrato que articula noções vagas e misteriosas como " o sentido do ser " ou " o fundamento último daquilo que há ". Assim, as críticas contemporâneas às investigações metafísicas representariam uma reação contra o obscurantismo da antiga " rainha de todas as ciências ". Trata-se aqui de questionar essa representação atual da Metafísica. Para tanto, proponho inicialmente uma reconstituição histórico-conceptual, amparada em alguns " momentos " da História e da Crítica da Metafísica. Em seguida, pela hipótese historiográfica de Pierre Hadot segundo a qual há uma distinção e hierarquia entre o discurso e o modo de vida filosófico, pretendo mostrar que a Metafísica, a despeito dos impasses quanto à sua pertinência teórica, adquire um novo patamar quando a assumimos como uma maneira de viver. ABSTRACT: Metaphysics is commonly presented exclusively as a theoretical discipline, an abstract discourse which articulates vague and absconded notions as " the meaning of Being " or " the ultimately essence of what it is ". In this sense, the contemporary critiques to the metaphysical investigations could be understood as a reaction against the obscurantism of the elderly " queen of sciences ". The aim of this essay is to interrogate this actual representation of Metaphysics. For such, I propose initially a historical and conceptual reconstruction, supported in some " moments " of the History and the Critique of Metaphysics. Afterwards, according to Pierre Hadot's historiographical approach, I will argue that there is a distinction and a hierarchy between the philosophical discourse and its way of life. Then, I plan to show that Metaphysics, in spite of the impasse relating to its theoretical accuracy, assumes a new level when we practice it especially as a form of life.
