Os efeitos da reestruturação econômica metropolitana na Baixada Fluminense: Apontamentos sobre o “novo” mercado imobiliário da região

This paper analyses the relations between the economic metropolitan restructuration and the changings in the present estate situation in the Baixada Fluminense. Through the expansion of industrial, logistic and commercial activities in this region, one notices a process of valorisation of urban soils, with the emergences of new actors and building projects for shopping malls, apart-hotels, commercial buildings and industrial complexes. The effect of this process is a redefinition of the metropolitan region’s economic dynamics.
