Prison Management System Suraj Mangal, Shubham Gupta, Swati Garg, Priyanshu(CS 7th Semester) Abstract – PRISON MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is an efficient application for maintaining Prisoners information. More than a data storage program, it helps you manage the prisoners. It offers a wide variety of Reports that give you exactly the information you need. Add new prisoner details and about new cases. It enables to track every prisoner and their activities. There are three kinds of users Data administrator, Police officials and Administrator. Recognising the importance of their roles, this paper intends to describe the dynamic handling of roles during the Prison Management System ; activities of role based Prison Management and discussing the Prison Management System scenario using Prisoners mechanism. 1. Introduction Prison management system provides facility of managing all the records of prison over internet, which reduces paper work. Automation and efficiency of Prison management is the main concern of this project. The period prior to implementation of PRISON MANAGEMENT SYSTEM was marked by multiple complexities and hurdles including manual based time consuming process, human errors, insufficient security due to time consuming record keeping, difficulty in managing visitors, faulty calculation of correct remission and release dates, delay in application process, negligence of records and so on. The shortcomings fostered corrupt and inefficient administration and compromised constitutional rights of prisoners and the rule of law

2. Features The basic features of the application are as follows:



Track all the visitors their contact details.



Track all the staff, non-staff and prisoner in out details.



Track the Fund allotment and expenditure details.





All activities performed by the system users will be maintained in the form of logs for auditing and maintaining the integrity of the system. Maintain a centralized database to provide security to information which can be accessed only by the admin. Database include dynamic information storage.

3. Benifits  Helps faster analysis and  

reporting. Instant generation of diary for each prisoners. Reformative records of prisoners is maintained.

4. Conclusions  Through this project we can reduce paper work at prison, manage prisoner details i.e. all the information about prisoner and visitor who comes to meet prisoner and an admin can  Create an officer and he can remove officer as well as he has all rights to manage and manipulate entire database i.e. he can manage all the information.  As per the need due to the growing technology this system provides different services to user, efficient system use and ease of maintain all the information of the prison.  Time Consuming Process  Human error in Administrative record and registers of prison inmates.  Management hurdles in analysis of Data.
