Abstract: Traditionaly Sura Al-Qadr (97) became corner stone in Islamic theology as a sign for the descended Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad saw. But there are not a word in Sura Al-Qadr about the descended of Al-Qur’an. Using astronomical data concerning the Super Novae (SNe) explosion the meaning and purpose of Sura Al-Qadr becomes clearer to rational understanding than theological orthodoxy. Key words: Qadr, measurement, predestined, Super Novae (SNe), Introduction: I ever question “has Lailatu al-Qadr - ‫ ﻠﻴﻠﺔﺍﻠﻖﺩﺮ‬only a religious, theological, inert emotion, spiritual, status?” All Qur’an interpretations (tafsir - ‫ )ﺗﻔﺴﻴﺮ‬books ever published offer explanations from the theological point of views and sometimes from philosophical point of views. This question is indeed irritates the “feelings” and disturbing “thoughts” we have traditionally taught and indoctrinated by the teachings of Islamic theology. Theology teaches faiths in the theos – θεός - Greece word, meaning “Lord, the notion of the sacred”. The word “Theology” is derived from the word theos - θεός and logia – λόγια - in Greece which means discourse – the process to cultivate reason, so theologia (θεολογία) is a process that gives reason

for intelligence description of God, the Holy idea. Greece word theos (θεός) has the same meaning as Latin word “deo” and both are translated in all languages as “God”. Theology teaches religion which governs the relationship between human being with God through religious ceremonies, religious philosophical frame of thinking and religious anthropology scientific method. Analysis: The Qur’an Arabic language call the Islam using a combine words AlDiinu al-Islam - ‫ ﺍﻠﺪﻴﻦﭐﻹﺴﻠﻡ‬, as used in the phrase “Inna Diina ‘indallahi al-Islam‫” ﺇﻥﺍﻠﺪﻴﻦﻋﻨﺪﷲﭐﻹﺴﻠﻢ‬, “La ikraaha fii alDiin - ‫”ﻹﻜﺮﺍﻩﻓﻰﺍﺪﻴﻦ‬, and “Lakum diinukum wa liyadiin - ‫” ﻠﻜﻮﻡﺪﻴﻨﻜﻡﻮﻠﻰﺪﻴﻦ‬. In order to understand the Arabic word “al-Diin ‫ ” ﺍﻠﺪﻴﻦ‬with precision and put the sense in al-Qur’an - ‫ ﺍﻠﻘﺮﺁﻦ‬and al-Kaun - ‫ﺍﻠﻜﻮﻦ‬ constellation system of thought, it is required an historical understanding of human thought development since humans are aware of himself and their recognized environment in which human beings are. Diinul Islam - ‫ ﺍﻠﺪﻴﻦﭐﻹﺴﻠﻡ‬in the reality of human life is a law of the universe that applies since the universe was emerged from the Big Bang. Human being is one of the products of the universe that still continuously expanding. Therefore, when we understood Diinul Islam - ‫ ﺍﻠﺪﻴﻦﭐﻹﺴﻠﻡ‬as a normative theological belief then it is not necessarily demands epistemology of science. This kind of belief implicates

2 that legal religiosity does not fit with biological and psychological life of a believer’s everyday life. And therefore shall always bumping against laws and ordinances stipulated for individuals and society enacted by the Qur’an forever, whether consciously or unconsciously. While the reality outside and inside human beings personal private shows that, Qur’an laws and rules had been revealed to the universe before human being appeared on Earth. Dialectics, logic and rationality of Qur’an verses in explaining biological, physical, psychological, spiritual, human way of life that designated as “al-Diin ‫” ﺍﻠﺪﻴﻦ‬ can be put to the test, experimented, observed and witnessed within the realities of human society on Earth. While we are becoming member of the human community, we are in reality are becoming perpetrators and observers at the same time as well as being object of study and experimentation at once. Besides human beings have watched, have found out and are keep watching and also experienced consciously, but human beings still doubt the reality presented before them where as human beings are involved. Human beings still tend to believe in dreams, fantasies and imaginations of their own that have been built by Islamic theology since the IInd and IIIrd era after Prophet Muhammad saw. exodus to Tasyrif (Medina).[1] According to the religious scholars or theologians Diinul Islam - ‫ ﺍﻠﺪﻴﻦﭐﻹﺴﻠﻡ‬had been turned into Islamic theology which dogma and doctrine taught in primary, secondary school and university of nowadays almost in all the land that the Muslim population is majority. Historically it was begun from the

emergence of theological notion among inner circle of Prophet Muhammad saw. and the debates between Prophet Muhammad saw. and the people of the Books and others. In those days the Arabs already had knowledge in religion (Christianity, Jewish, Zoroastrian, Hindus etc), had faith in the power of the supernatural (Jinni, Satan, Angel, Devil etc.), already have idol and deity as well as embodied worship in the model of sculptures, magical objects (artifacts), sacred places of holy man adoration, etc. Besides, we can get the historical approach from the Qur’an verses in explaining Allah swt., explaining about the functions, duties, and the position of Muhammad as the mediator of good news to his clan family, how Muhammad has brilliance ideas, revolutionary, progressive and reformative that he disseminated, and the procedures of appealing and adoring Allah swt. All words shaped in narrative polemically dialogue that shaped as the threat of divine law and explanation monologue on the question and notification that rained the Prophet Muhammad saw. from people following and surrounding him even from among those who are hostile to him. With such Qur’an guidance it seems clear that humanity is directed to accept Diinul Islam - ‫ ﺍﻠﺪﻴﻦﭐﻹﺴﻠﻡ‬not as a doctrine and dogma of Islam religion or an Islamic religious system which was initiated by a person or group of people. But as fact, reality and nature that in many Qur’an verses demonstrated by a narrative dialogue, debate and recommendations for having regard to the real nature environment that hosts the human being biologically, geographically and cosmologically.

As interpreted by theological way of thinking then comes the meaning of Sura Al-Qadr (97):                      A      1. Innaaaaa anzalnaahu fii lailati alqadr - we have indeed revealed This (message) In the night of power: 2. Wa maa adraaka maa lailatu al-qadr - and what will explain to Thee what the night of power is? 3. Lailatu al-qadri khairun min alfisyahr - the night of power is better than a thousand months. 4. Tanazzalu al-malaa-ikatu rruuhu fii wa al-haa bi-idzni rabbihim min kulli ‘ amr -therein come down the angels and the spirit by Allah’s permission, on every errand: 5. Translation of the above verses is not a mere language translation but already laden with interpretations of the translator, already contain the interpretation of those verses meaning. Therefore the model sentence and phrase forms used also transcendentally sentences and can drift in symbols, imagery and poetic imagination. Such interpretation is usually based on a model with a historical approach to convey theological messages. Historical approach to that question is the study of the Islamic theology literature written

Discussion: In the words of “lailatu alqadr -  ”, the word “al-qadr  ” is derived from the verb “‫ ﺭﺪﻗ‬qadr “ in regard to base word. The verb has the meaning of infinitive: setting, decide, determining, requires. When formed into a noun by adding “al- ‫ ”ﺍﻝ‬in the form of “al-qadr –‫ ”ﺭﺪﻘﻠﺍ‬then the notion is said to be: the range, extent, amount, size, comparison, unit, levels, degree of size, coating, the provisions of divinity, predestination of fate, etc. If the word “al-qadr – ‫ ”ﺭﺪﻘﻠﺍ‬combined with the word “lailat – ‫ ”ﺔﻠﻳﻠ‬then “lailatu al-qadr –‫ ”ﺔﻠﻳﻠ ﺭﺪﻘﻠﺍ‬gives the sense of a “night of size, portion, measurement, determination”. Starting off from the combined words notion and sentence model that gives the definitive answer, emphatically, is real, then the entire sentence from the first verse of Sura Al-Qadr (97) gives an information about a night that Allah Almighty let something – “anzalnaahu – ‫ ”ﻪﻨﻠﺯﻨﺃ‬descended. Similarly the explanation: “ verses of Sura Al-Qadr declared that the revelation of Al-Quran on the lailat AlQadr is clear, Sura Ad-Dukhān verse amplifies the descend of Qur’ān on the eve of the “lailatu al-qadr –‫”ﺔﻠﻳﻠ ﺭﺪﻘﻠﺍ‬ night, verses Sura Al-Baqarah suggests the descend of Qur’ān in the month Ramadan and the verses of Sura AlAnfāl explains that the descend of the Qur’ān coincide on the night of the battle between the Muslim armies against the pagan soldiers in the battle of Badr, which distinguish between right and wrong and gave the victory to the Muslim army over the infidels. This Sura Al-Qadr (97) includes the early Sura that descended of the first five years of the Prophetic, which was revealed at Mecca as 25th order[5] and no. 24 [6]. Generally the early Sura contains good news and answers to questions as well as an explanation. In addition also the suggestion and advice to residents of Mecca. Early Makiyah Sura contains socio-economic critique and protest against political injustices, moral-ethical attitude against hedonism in the way of life culture and backward Arabs traditions at that time.

With that logic, rationality and dialectic thinking which was spoken in verses Sura Makiyah beginning: Al-‘ Alaq (96), Al-Qalam (68), Al-Muzzammil (73), AlMuddatstsir (74), Al-Lahab (111), AlTakwir (81), Al-A’la (87), Al-Lail (92), Al-Fajr (89), Al-Dhuhaa (93), natural Nasyrah (94), Al-ASR (103), Al-‘ Adiyat (100), setia1heri (108), AlTakaatsur (102), Al-Maa’un (107), AlKafirun (109), Al-Fiil (105), Al-Falaq (113), Al-Naas (114), Al-Ikhlash (112), Al-Najm (53), ‘ Abasa (80), Al-Qadr (97), Al-Shams (91) etc, can be seen that the sticking problems is a problem of belief in and trust to the Prophet Muhammad saw. as a common private trader and uneducated who’s descended from parents who are not popular among the people of Mecca who dare to launch an institutional critique and social criticism against Mecca society and rulers.

Sura Al-Qadr (97) as a sequence of descending 24th or 25th Makiyah Sura is a collection of divine word that states Allah swt has determined a measure, exact measure, the unitary levels and determinant, for the community and residents of Mecca, locally, as well as for human beings in general who will have implications for the event and the historical continuity of Arabs Mecca Quraisj society and its surroundings as well as the full development of the human society.

Measure, exact measure, the unitary levels, portion and the determinant of human Arabs Mecca Quraisj society and the surrounding and human society globally is anything that has been revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Conclusion: Here I conclude with my understanding on verses of Sura Al-Qadr (97) States: (1) “‫ﺇﻨّﺂﺍﻨﺰﻠﻨﺎﻩﻔﻰﻠﻴﻠﺔﺍﻠﻗﺪﺮ‬Innaaaaa anzalnaahu fii lailati al-qadr” - that at night legitimately has revealed the determinate measures, sizes and levels. At that era human being has never heard about the presence of any or one night as “night of determination, night of size and measurement” and no one understood what “night of determination, night of size and measurement” is. They heard from story teller that if something holly is coming then the night sky will brighten as daylight. Therefore Allah Almighty questions and ensures at the same time the human ignorance with the Qur’an revelation specific sentence (2) “‫ – ﻮﻤﺂﺍﺪﺮﻚﻤﺎﻠﻴﻠﺔﺍﻠﻗﺪﺮ‬Wa maa adraaka maa lailatu al-qadr” - That explained the night of determination, a night measure, a night of size and measurement is a much better night than anything that has been known and has been popular among people“. (3)‫– ﻠﻴﻠﺔﺍﻠﻗﺮﺨﻴﺮﻤﻦﺍﻠﻔﺷﻬﺮ‬ Lailatu al-qadri khairun min al-fisyahr”. Because the size of measurement and determination that have been defined by Whom Has the Right to be Worshipped and Glorified had caused the Galaxy environment where SNe sited is a brightly lit that blinding vision. The measure passed down by His permission and delivered by angels who has the perfect knowledge and carry out His commandments. (4) “‫– ﺘﻧﺰﻞﺍﻠﻤﻶﺀڪﺔﻮﺍﻠﺮّﻮﺡﻓﻴﻬﺎﺒﺎﺫﻦﺮﺑّﻬﻢﻣﻦﻛﻞّﺍﻣﺮ‬ Tanazzalu al-malaa-ikatu wa al- rruuhu

So with that just definite measure nights the humans feel the serenity, peace, prosperity till dawn because everything has been ascertained of measure, sizes, levels for each by the provisions of Most Powerful. (5) ……………….. “‫ – ﺳﻼﻢﻫﻰﻰﺣﺘﻰﻣﻄﻠﻊﺍﻠﻓﺠﺮ‬Salaamun hiya hatta mathla’i al-fadjr”. On the night of the SNe 185 explosion, for example, the Earth sky having brightly lit by light radiation which admires by human beings who happened to witnessed. At the time of the Prophet Muhammad saw. and the previous inhabitants of Mecca and its surrounding areas as well as Arabs in general have trust in almalak – ‫ ﺍﻠﻤﻠﻚ‬supernatural beings who become sons of God of the Arabs or the liaison man with God, gods, goddesses or the guardian of holly man. This kind of belief is also found in the community of ancient Greece, ancient Persia, ancient Egypt and almost all Nations with high civilization in the past. Well in His word to human being Allah swt. used terms, words, that has been used there already and understood by human of Arabs. It’s just that weltanschauung (Worldview) from jargons, terms, words, is transformed from the metaphysics sense to physics understanding. Thus the word angel is understandable as particles of light known in physics of high energy with the word photon – (γ). Photons have characteristics or traits as said in Qur’an revelation as characteristics or traits of angels. Photons which pass on the information to all corners of the universe that are packed in high energy particle models of light having duality existence as a wave and particle detected.

By the descend of Sura Al-Qadr (97) as revealed to the Messenger who was being cornered by the elite of Mecca the confidence and fighting resolve has affirmed him in preaching the good news to the especially people of Mecca and human beings in general. That everything has its measurement, sizes, and levels and has its own determination in accordance with definite proportions – that in theology is understood as “predestined”. Similarly to himself that has defined measurement, size and levels as a Messenger, the Messenger of Allah swt. that delivers revelation to the Universe. As the leader of the Ummah to unite the Muslims from the various tribes of the Arabian desert. As a revolutionary fighter who fought for the equal rights of humanity, the brotherhood between our fellow human beings and freedom of humanity from the slavery system. As a personal example of humanity will be able to guide human beings improve to the level of biological perfect akhlaaq - ‫ ﺍﺨﻠﻖ‬so that biological humans (al-basyaran ‫ )ﺍﻠﺑﺸﺮ‬are able to assume duties as the khalifatullah - ‫ ﺨﻠﻔﺔﻮﷲ‬on Earth.
